Increasingly our teams, both in Italy and abroad, are involved in sharing the value of an experience in OVS SPA with the communities where we are present. Events, the presence on social media, volunteering: every occasion is a good one to give space to our colleagues and their stories.
Global Brand Ambassador Program
2023 saw the launch of the first officially global program.
We have created an international team, a community in OVS SPA of colleagues from the stores, sourcing offices and the team at HQ. It is an interfunctional and transnational team which helps us for a year in promoting OVS SPA. This program also strengthens an international mindset in the company.
OVS for WeSchool
OVS has started to collaborate with WeSchool, an edutech startup which helps us link up youngsters from high schools with the world of work. Through the FreeStyle project, 400 boys and girls from all of Italy will have the chance to learn the bases of Visual Design and put them into practice, just as our in-store colleagues do. The classes will be accompanied by our Ambassadors: visual merchandisers, store managers, sales assistants and HR specialists who will share the know-how they have acquired in the world of work.
OVS on Campus
In recent years, OVS SPA has strengthened its presence on campus, in order to take to universities and the leading fashion and design schools the know-how of its teams and accompany young students to discover Fashion Retail. In education, the main partners of OVS vary in terms of geography and level: from the technical institutes of the Italian provinces, to the main business schools worldwide, OVS SPA offers its contents and its challenges to a varied and curious target audience. Among our partners are ITS Cosmo in Padua, H-Farm and Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Padua University, Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Bari, Bocconi, Cattolica and Statale universities in Milan, NABA, Marangoni, Columbia Business School in New York and HEC in Paris, just to mention a few.
ITS Cosmo
With ITS Cosmo Fashion Academy in 2024 /2025 OVS will start the two-year high specialisation course for high school graduates which will make it possible to train future Fashion Store Coordinators. An initiative which further strengthens OVS’s desire to build a bridge between the world of training and that of work by offering concrete opportunities for professional growth.
OVS for PlasticFree
In order to continue to strengthen our commitment to the issues of sustainability and transparency, we are delighted to have started our collaboration with PlasticFree, a voluntary association created on 29 July 2019 with the aim of informing and raising awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution. On Earth Day, we support "environmental cleaning" organised by the association around Venice and we invite our employees in Italy to take part in environmental volunteering initiatives.
Welcome Project (in collaboration with UNHCR and Fondazione Adecco)
Thanks to the collaboration with UNHCR and Fondazione Adecco, we have set up the Welcome project which aims to provide a professional start for refugees and beneficiaries of international protection resident in our country. With UNHCR and Fondazione Adecco we work locally to identify people to be involved in our stores. Each work inclusion and start program is tailored to the person. Depending on the professional experience of the beneficiaries and their skills, including linguistic ones, the most suitable sector is established as well as the most opportune means of inclusion.
