Our supply chain spans 16 countries and more than 600 suppliers, involving more than 90,000 people employed in the production of garments.

More than half of the workers in the textile industry are women, but male hold the majority of supervisory and managerial roles (respectively 73% and 82%).
PROCEDURES AND CONTROL SYSTEM
Such a complex ecosystem requires high standards, measurement procedures, and control systems. Suppliers must share and apply the Code of Conduct.
The monitoring and measurement of a supplier's sustainability profile is based on periodic checks, directly or through third parties, on information collected through the Worldly platform and on any reports coming from trade union representatives or other local associations.
FOCUS: WORLDLY PLATFORM
Worldly platform, designed by SAC - Sustainable Apparel Coalition, guarantees detailed information, verified and shared by other players in the supply chain. This allows us to constantly monitor performance, intervene where necessary and support suppliers in positive change.
FEM AND FSLM MODULES
100% of OVS's production volume comes from apparel suppliers who share their sustainability performance through the Worldly platform. Objective achieved one year earlier than set for 2024 for the Sustainability-Linked Bond.
The production volume verified on the Higg FEM (Facility Environmental Module) environmental module was 92%, while for the Higg FSLM (Facility Social and Labor Module) social module it was 70%, both figures with a clear increase compared to the year previous.

Sustainable Apparel Coalition
OVS is a Progressive + member in the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, that developed Wordly, the suite of solutions to collect data of supply chain.
Accord on fire and building safety
OVS is a signatory to the "Accord on Fire and Building Safety" programme, that aims to improve working conditions in Bangladesh through the verification and safety of production buildings in the textile chain, including through financial support.
Circular Fashion Partnership
OVS is part of the Circular Fashion Partnership, a cross-sector project to support the development of the textile recycling industry in Bangladesh through the recovery of post-production waste and its use in the production of new fashion products.

We buy responsibly
OVS adopts responsible purchasing practices along the supply chain to reduce any negative social or economic impact on industrial workers. We agree conditions with the supplier in order to operate safely and consistently with compliance needs.
Fairer working conditions
OVS has a great responsibility in ensuring dignified living conditions for the people who produce our garments starting from the salary levels.
Workers' representation systems
Among the main causes of low wage levels in some countries has emerged the poor diffusion of collective agreements and insufficient representation of workers in wage negotiations, as well as the lack of tools for resolving problems within factories.
