FIRST IN FASHION TRANSPARENCY INDEX 2023
In 2021, 2022 and 2023 OVS ranked first place in the Fashion Transparency Index among 250 fashion brands and retailers examined by Fashion Revolution.
Fashion Revolution Index evaluates the level of transparency of brands by analyzing the information disclosed on environmental impacts and respect for human rights, purchasing practices and monitoring of production activities to improve results.
Over the years, OVS has innovated its processes and control tools to track business activities with greater precision and improve the quality of data. The disclosure of information encourages cooperation between actors in the same sector to identify the most significant areas of intervention and have common priorities.
MORE TRANSPARENT WITH ECO VALORE
Eco Valore, the label present in the product sheets of e-commerce, shows at a glance the environmental impact of each product.
What do the indicators show?
Water Consumption
the amount of water used to produce the garment.
CO2 Emissions
CO2 emissions caused by production of the garment.
Circularity
It reveals how potentially recyclable the product is, according to an index ranging from 1 (the least recyclable) to 10 (the most recyclable) calculated by an algorithm based on various factors (for example number and type of materials used, recyclability of individual materials etc.).

Collection of used garments
Since 2013, the collection of used clothing has been active throughout the sales network. In 2022 the initiative was renewed with the program "Dona i tuoi abiti usati a Humana". Thanks to the partnership with Humana People to People Italia, customers can deliver used clothing at over 800 stores in the OVS sales network, entrusting them to the international cooperation organisation.

Care and repair
One of the ways to minimize the waste of resources is to offer people durable products and with them the means to extend their lives. For this reason we have adopted a series of measures:
- on the OVS e-commerce site you can find suggestions to take care of the garments and extend its useful life;
- products are sold with some spare parts to facilitate any minor repairs;
- for more important repairs, OVS offers a tailoring and repair service in seven sales points in Italy.Â

Spaced dedicated to the sale of used clothing have been activated in some shops in Milan.
